PAST TENSE

 
PAST TENSE
        Past tense is tenses happened in the past event, past tense consist of :
# Simple Past Tenses
- simple past tenses has adverb of time sich as ;
Yesterday, ago, last,etc..
Formula for simple past tense are :

(+) S + Ve
(-) S + did not + V1
(?) did + S + V1 ?

Formula for simple past tense in affirmative sentence are :
(+) S + was/were + C
(-) S + was/were not + C
(?) was/were + S + C ?

# Past Continous Tense
Formula for past continous tense are :
(+) J/we/you/they + was + infinitive + Ing
(+) He/she/it + were + infinitive + Ing
(-) It was not + infinitive + Ing
(-) He/she/it + was not + infinitive + Ing
(-) we/you/they + were not + infinitive + Ing
(?) were + we/you/they + infinitive + Ing ?
(?) was + J/he/she/it + infinitive + Ing ?

# Past Perfect Tense
Formula for past perfect tense are ;
(+) S + had + been + infinitive + Ing
(-) S + had not + past participle
(?) had + S + past participle ?

# Past Perfect Continous Tense
Formula for past perfect continoys tense :

(-) S + had not been + infinitive + Ing

GREETING
          Greeting is a very common evpressions to say that we meet people or want to be nice with them.
Expressions to greet people are :

-         How do you do
-         How are things with you
-         How is life ?
-         Nice to meet you….
Expressions to respons from greeting someone you can use :
-         Hello..!

-         Nice to meet you too..
-         Pretty good,thanks
-         Morning too
-         Nice, thanks how about you ?
-         How do you do ?
Example :
Gani : “ Good morning Mr.Erwan ?”

PAST TENSE


PAST TENSE
         Used to express actions completed in the past.
a.Simple Past Tense
        Used to declare an act that happened in the past and specific and well, but it has nothing to do with the present.
Formula :
Subject + to be ( was / were )+…..
Subject + verb II+….
Example:
  She was in the classroom yesterday
He borrowed my motorcycle last week

Tenses are often used in the simple past tense:
  Last Sunday                    = minggu lalu
Yesterday                        =  kemaren
Last week                        = minggu lalu
In 1998….                         = ditahun 1998
Last year                          = tahun lalu
Last month                       = bulan lalu
An hour a go                     = sejam yang lalu
Ago                                   = yang lalu
Yesterday night                = kemaren malam
A few minute ago             = beberapa menit lalu

b.Past Continues Tense
     Used to declare an act of direct / is going on in the past.
Formula: subject + to be ( was/were ) + verb ( ing ) + ……
Example : I was speaking english all time last Sunday
I was reading a newapaper yesterday

Tenses are often used in the past continues tense:
While = sementara


The whole day last week = sepanjang hari minggu yang lalu
At 7 o’clock yesterday = pada jam 7 kemarin
All day yesterday = sepanjang hari kemaren
As      = ketika

c.Past Perfect Tense
       Used to declare the deeds done in the past and the activity is completed before another past event, it is also the perfect time ago.
Formula : 
subject + had + been +…..
Subject + had + verb3 +……
 Example : She had been classroom
                 I had written the letter before I want to south korea.

Tenses are often used in the past perfect tense:
  until                        = hingga
before                    = sebelum
by the end of        = menjelang akhir
after                       = sesudah
just                          = baru saja
as soon as             = segera sesudah
already                  =  selalu
when                       = ketika

d.Past Perfect Continues Tense
      Used to declare an act that began in the past and ongoing, also completed in the past.
Formula : subject + had + been + verb (ing) + ……



Example : He had been working in unilever.
                 It had been in the diningroom.

Tenses are often used in the past perfect continuous tense:
for             = selama
after         = sesudah
before      = sebelum
when        = ketika
since        = semenjak
